Hands-on service across Atlanta

Every month, volunteers gather to plant shade trees, prepare hot shelter lunches, care for Atlanta BeltLine paths, and spend unhurried time with older neighbors.

Four regular efforts

Quiet work in our neighborhoods

On alternating Saturdays, volunteers gather in kitchens across Midtown to prepare scratch-cooked lunches for local daytime shelters. In fall and spring, our crews also plant young native oaks and dogwoods alongside city canopy stewards.

Along the Atlanta BeltLine trails and neighborhood parks, monthly crews clear invasive ivy and maintain walking paths. In addition, our companion team coordinates simple weekday porch visits and grocery runs for older residents living independently.

Open projects this month

Service mornings begin with simple tea and coffee before walking to the site. There is no religious messaging, fundraising pitch, or requirement beyond lending a steady hand for two or three unhurried hours.

First Saturdays feature BeltLine path stewardship at nine in the morning; third Saturdays cover shelter meal preparation. Work gloves, hand tools, and aprons are provided for all participants.
